What Is a
Recovery Friendly Church?
A Recovery Friendly Church is a faith community that openly welcomes, supports, and walks alongside people impacted by addiction and their families. It creates safe, honest spaces where recovery and discipleship can grow together, offering practical help, spiritual care, and real community. In short, it’s a church people in recovery—and those helping them—can trust.
Why Become a Certified Recovery Friendly Church?
Becoming a Certified Recovery Friendly Church is a clear, public way to say, “You are welcome here.” Certification equips your church to respond to addiction with confidence, clarity, and compassion, so people know exactly where to turn for hope and help.
